Hazardous waste grant received
BRATTLEBORO - Windham Solid Waste Management District has received a grant of $37,910 for operation of their household hazardous waste (HHW) depot from the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation, a division of the Agency of Natural Resources.
The HHW collection depot accepts hazardous waste, special waste, and waste banned from landfills from households and small businesses in member communities. These funds are used to subsidize the actual cost for these services and allow WSWMD to charge a nominal fee of $15.
