Humankind is allegedly differentiated from other species by our superior ability to communicate with each other. We are story tellers. For thousands of years we have passed stories from generation to generation, at first verbally and then in written form and today on film and television. The new Chrisopher Nolan film will bring Homer’s epic poem, “The Odyssey,” written 3,000 years ago, to life on the big screen. It is truly a glorious thing that we are able to do this endless passing along of information and stories century after century.
