Chevy Chase in the movie “Funny Farm” from 35 years ago. The movie was filmed in locations all over southern Vermont, and featured a speaking role from the Whitingham School vice principal.
10 years ago:
The town of Dover purchased a one-acre parcel on Route 100 sandwiched between Country Club Road and the 7-Eleven. The parcel, which had mainly been used as overflow parking for the Andirons, was eventually transformed into today’s Dover Park with the addition of landscaping, a gazebo, and a playground.
Memorial Hall Center for the Arts, a nonprofit performing arts group that operated out of Wilmington’s Memorial Hall for many years, purchased Mountain Park Cinema as their new performance space.
