Boards signs off on sewer project funding

WILMINGTON- Selectboard members approved a proposal by Wilmington Economic Development Consultant Gretchen Havreluk to use up to $80,000 in local option tax funding for a sewer construction project on East Main Street.  The project will extend an existing public sewer line to serve five buildings that are currently on a failing private sewer line (which connects to the public sewer).  The work will be done in conjunction with a sidewalk project on the north side of East Main Street this year. The total cost of the sewer project was estimated at about $73,000 in 2018.
