Recreational sports can resume in Vermont

MONTPELIER- Gov. Phil Scott announced the resumption of recreational, low-contact team sports at his press briefing Monday.
Gov. Scott opened his remarks by acknowledging the Black Lives Matter protests that took place around the state over the weekend. "(I) commend the participants for standing up for racial justice, and doing so peacefully, as well as keeping public health in mind by taking steps like wearing masks," he said. Gov. Scott said there were no arrests connected to the protests.
