River Valleys board meetings to stay remote

DOVER - At Monday’s meeting of the River Valleys Unified Union School District Board, a motion introduced by board member Laura Sibilia to move the board’s meetings to in-person was defeated. Board members who voted against the motion expressed concern that other public bodies that have implemented hybrid models have experienced difficulty with fluid participation, particularly for those joining remotely. Sibilia said she supported the motion because, with the district asking staff and students to report in person, she feels the board should do the same.
