READSBORO- Voters approved Readsboro School District’s proposed $1.7 million budget in a 90 to 68 vote by Australian ballot Tuesday.
Readsboro is facing an 18-cent increase in their homestead school tax rate for fiscal year 2025 with the passage of the budget.  At Monday evening’s annual school district meeting, Readsboro resident Bruce Busa observed that, while the school budget increased by just over 5%, the education tax rate increased by more than 13%.
