Wilmington selectboard approves water district budget

WILMINGTON- The selectboard met on Tuesday, unanimously approving the water district  budget, a request for $7,300 in funding from the 1% local option tax fund, and discussed the need to rebuild or even possibly relocate the town tennis court.
Along with approving the $353,045 water district budget for fiscal year 2024, the board heard a proposal from Wilmington Finance Officer Christine Richter to merge water and sewer bills and change both to a three-cycle billing period annually. Currently, there are four water bills and two sewer bills collected per year.
