Cruel twist of fate dooms Wildcats
ARLINGTON- Twin Valley coach Taryn Lawrence once described soccer as a “cruel” sport. Monday’s match between the Wildcats and Long Trail School showed just how merciless that description can be.
With less than 10 minutes left, Twin Valley and Long Trail had played a scoreless match in the first round of the 17th John Werner Soccer Tournament. The teams were level through the first 70 minutes, with neither side able to solve the other’s defense.
