Rebels blank Wildcats in softball

TOWNSHEND- It’s been a busy week for the Twin Valley varsity softball team, as the Wildcats are in the middle of a five-games-in-eight-days stretch.  That run of games kicked off on Friday, May 17, with a visit to rival Leland & Gray.   The game was close in the early innings, but the host Rebels used a late-game surge to blank the Wildcats, 12-0.
Leland & Gray nicked Twin Valley starter Sarah Dix for a run in the first inning. Ava Lecourse led off for the Rebels with a double and came around to score.  Dix put the Rebels down in order in the second and third innings.
