WILMINGTON—The Twin Valley girls soccer team had an eventful week that included their last home game of the season, a celebration of their seniors, an unconventional win, and a tie against a long-time rival.
On Thursday, October 8, Twin Valley (9-2-1) played Leland & Gray to a 1-1 tie. The Rebels jumped out to an early lead 13 minutes into the match when a miscommunication on defense for Twin Valley allowed striker Addison Eldridge to grab the ball between three defenders, including Twin Valley goalie, Kate Oyer, and slip a shot past them for the 1-0 lead.
