Wildcats push top team to overtime

WILMINGTON- West Rutland has been one of the dominant teams in girls’ high school soccer this fall. The Golden Horde came into Tuesday’s match with Twin Valley sporting a spotless 10-0 record.  That didn’t seem to deter the host Wildcats, as they held the Horde’s high powered offense scoreless through 80 minutes of regulation and nine minutes and 14 seconds of overtime.
“They’re undefeated, the beast of the league” said Twin Valley coach Taryn Lawrence. “We were trying to slay the dragon here.”
