Art exhibit fuses art and history

MANCHESTER - Robert DuGrenier’s new chandelier installation for the Vermont Glass Guild’s “Sand to Splendor: The Nature of Glass,” exhibit is a fusion of art, history, nature, and celestial inspiration. The sculpture, Ancestrial Luminaire, comprises 220 hand-blown glass objects, each representing one of DuGrenier’s ancestors, many of whose images and personal histories are depicted on adjacent screens. The exhibit can be seen from Saturday, June 8, through Sunday, September 22 at the Wilson Museum at Southern Vermont Arts Center.
