Reception and talk by art collector

MANCHESTER - On Friday, June 14, at 5 pm, the Manchester Community Library will host a reception and talk by art collector Lyman Orton. There are about 70 artworks in the show, many of which weren’t in prior art shows.
Orton began collecting scenes of Vermont in the 1970s, and he continues to repatriate “lost” artworks of his home state. The collection includes works by dozens of talented men and women during what Orton calls the “Golden Era” of painting – the years from 1910 to 1970.
