I am a deeply avowed “dog person.” My current companion is my 19th dog in my 89 years so far. She is a 20-pound mongrel rescue from South Carolina, half chihuahua, one quarter beagle and one quarter dachshund. She looks sort of like a long-haired dachshund, long, very low to the ground and fluffy. She has the soul of a grizzly bear! Until the poor man died, I told everyone she ran away from Sen. Lindsey Graham (of South Carolina).
